Decided that I needed to start digiscoping, that is taking photos through a spotting scope with a digital camera. So I ordered a Swarovski ATX 95 spotting scope and all the bits and pieces that one needed to shoot photos through the scope.
Of course with my luck I was short one small piece to connect my Olympus E-M5 to the scope, and being impatient, I took these two photos with my Samsung S3 smart phone. While not stellar, the are usable for the blog.
These photos were taken on Volcan Baru at about 1950 meters of altitude on the Peterson’s new finca (farm). We were hoping to see the ornate hawk eagle, but he took off the day we were on the farm. There are also reports of a umbrella bird there, and that would be a new one for me. Also sighted on our trip was the bell bird, but missed getting a photo.I will get more up as I shoot them after I get the adaptor ring I need.

Arriving home at our finca, I saw a very rare “sky goose” …. ok, so use a little imagination. This time of year we get some great “colored” or rainbow skies.
